December 10, 2019
The Western New York Chapter of NYSCAR has a lot to be proud of these days. The membership is strong, and growing. Currently, represented by one hundred and sixty eight members (168), with a healthy balance between Realtors and Affiliates.
The Board of Directors is deeply involved in the local community, supporting two prominent programs with student scholarships. Preparing the next generation of Real Estate professionals, the Chapter partners with the Master’s program in Real Estate Development within University at Buffalo. The Board reviews submissions, and awards one deserving student each year. 2019-2020 school year presented the Chapter’s fourth recipient.
Northland Workforce Training Center supports a different, growing career force in Western New York; Advanced Manufacturing, and Energy. The Center is designed to provide financial assistance for students who seek post-secondary education, and support in obtaining full-time employment for three years after coursework completion. For Northland’s inaugural enrollment, the WNYSAR Board of Directors awarded three fellowships; $1,000 each to go towards their industry chosen tools.
Together, with local public and private organizations, the NYSCAR WNY Chapter is privileged to represent a seat on the Board of Invest Buffalo Niagara. IBN carries out an important mission to attract new employers to the Buffalo Niagara region. Excited about the growth of the Western New York region, and the future of the industry; the WNYSCAR chapter welcomes newcomer’s interested in commercial real estate, educates their community on local and national issues, and continues to build a strong network of professionals.
